Asian Academy of Film & Television was established in 1993. This academy sponsored by Asian Society of Film & Television – a society registered under societies of registration act XXI of 1860 – is the first ever film school in the private sector in India. Asian Academy of Film & Television is headed by the media expert, media educator and a dynamic entrepreneur Sandeep Marwah.
